I want to use my old Gamertag

Hi so I was tryin to log in after 2 years or so via my Xbox360 and my old live account didnt connect with the internet anymore. I logged in via PC and all of a sudden I got a completely new tag. I can actually befriend my old profile, but there is no way to access it anymore. Can anyone help? Is it lost forever?

I'm afraid so. There's no way to recover the account if you already have a new gamertag assigned to the same email address

But the gamertag that I want to change is my old gamertag. I change my old gamertag on 2 August 2020. I used that old gamertag when I create my Xbox account. At that time, the system allow me to use that gamertag. But when I want to change it back, the system don't allow me to use it. Why is this like that?

That's not possible to transfer items from one account to the other!!!

You can change the email of one account, but it's not what you want to do...

Yeah. It's a bit of a pain. I'll just have to see about a refund for the items I've purchased, then I'll rebuy them on my original account.

Unfortunately you can't transfer purchases between accounts. However you can change the primary email associated with the account. Not sure if that's something that interests you but it's your only option at this point.
