    What's the easiest way to purchase points for another account who's console isn't easily accessible?

    You can recover his gamertag and redeem points on his gamertag if he lets you. Or you can buy a prepaid card and give him the code for him to redeem.

    You can also buy points for the primary account on the family plan and transfer some points to him.

    Differant NAME on PC than my Xbox????

    i've baught microsoft points to purchase a game on the marketplace, but as ive tried to redeem the code i was given it errored. so i decided to logon to the xbox live on the internet of the computer, as i did this it used a differant name than my xbox version??
    i dont want to lose all my points and acheivements by just transfering that name to my xbox with the points on it. i just want the points on my xbox's gamertag, not obtain a new one. help PLLZZZ. it driving me insane ive been messing with it for 4 hrs now.

    This forum is for Xbox Live Rewards issues. We see you only have 1000 Rewards Credits. Therefore, it sounds like you may have us confused with Microsoft Rewards. The Microsoft Rewards program is a separate program, so we are not fully informed on their issues.

    I want to recommend you the Microsoft Rewards program.

    If you frequently collect points you soon have enough to redeem the points for credits to change your gamertag.

    Afterwards you can purchase games, add-ons or redeem the points for a game pass sub.

    Hi,

    you have to redeem the points for a gift card first. It will be credited directly to your account. Afterwards you can pay the gamertag change with it.

    Before you pay make sure that the new gamertag is written right and has no suffix like #1234 at the end (if you don't want a suffix). A suffix means that somebody else is already using this gamertag.

    A change can't be reversed or refunded !

    Asking for forced Gamertag changes as a means of dodging the responsibility of paying for it like everyone else is rather akin to asking the police to give you a ride home from work because you don't want to pay for a cab. A Gamertag change isn't that expensive,
    but if you really don't want to spend cash on it, I might recommend Bing Rewards. www.bing.com has a rewards program wherein regular use of the search engine yields reward points, which can be redeemed for a variety of things in their catalogue, among which
    is Xbox Live Gift Cards. Wouldn't take long to earn enough points to afford a Gamertag change at no out-of-pocket cost. And as an added bonus, unlike the Forced Gamertag Change, you get to pick your own new Gamertag.
