    the up to date launcher "doesnt work" because it keeps saying that i have to sign up with xbox live, i dont have an xbox account so i tried making one, same error every time.. and when i want to play bedrock using the legacy one it says "go get the new launcher" and its a never ending spiral of being unable to login to one or just straight up being unable to play which is so unfair because i got them bundled together??

    i use a lenovo computer that runs windows 10 i think, on the new minecraft launcher i constantly get the "error code: forest"

    Please how exactly did you fix your error, I have been struggling with this problem for days now, and I don't want to use the legacy launcher because it only allows me play java and I want bedrock instead.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you want to play Minecraft Bedrock. The legacy launcher only works with Java, you'll have to download the latest version of launcher from Microsoft store to play Bedrock.

    I understand that you're getting an error whenever you try to download the launcher from Microsoft Store.

    Please use the Microsoft Gaming Repair Tool for Xbox App, this tool detects and automatically repairs error found on your system. Please download and install it using this link then run it as administrator.

    Once done, clear the cache of Microsoft Store. Follow these steps:

    Reset the Microsoft Store in Windows 10:

    Open Settings by pressing Win + I

    Select Apps

    Select Apps & features

    Find Microsoft Store and select it

    Select Advanced options

    Scroll down and select Reset

    Confirm by selecting Reset again

    For Windows 11, you may go to System > System Components > Microsoft Store. Click on the 3 dots and click Advanced options then click on Reset.
