I want to install games on my (D:) drive but the Xbox app won't let me select it. What can...

So after uninstallig Gaming service and Xbox, reinstalling it nothing changed. I went ahead and tried installing the game on my C drive and it would download. so I started searching for "Xbox won't install on D Drive" and found

after changing this setting Xbox no longer gives me the option to install on C drive witch is fine but will now install on my D Drive.

If you're not sure, please review this by opening the File Explorer > My computer > Right-click on the D: drive > properties.

If your D: drive is formatted as NTFS, can you check if it's selected to install new content?

This can be done by opening PC Settings > Storage > advance storage settings > Where new content is saved.
Under the “Apps” section, select the drop-down and select your D: drive.

Then, restart your PC and try installing a new game via the Xbox app.

Nope, that didn't solve the issue. Still only giving me the option for my C: drive. I should note that the app does show my D: drive in the settings but won't save it as a default installation spot but whenever I go to download a game it won't let me change it

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this hasn't fixed the problem for me. When I go to system, then storage and choose where new apps will be saved to, the correct drive is already selected. Which in my case is also D:

So the drive is correct, however when I select to install the game to Drive D: in the Xbox app, it still fails and gives me that error.
