    I never changed my gamertag before but when I try to change it, it asks me for money even though first time change is free, what do I do?

    Hi Mythical E! I hope you are well, delighted to be able to offer you my help!

    The free exchange is only granted if you were provided with a randomly generated label when you created your account, and you exchange it for the first time. So if you chose a gamertag when you first created your account, that counts as your free change. I hope this helps!

    i asked my parents to change the gamertag with money then refund it and they said no way.
    That would be fraud anyway and there are no refunds on gamertag changes.
