I want to change my parental controls, but everytime I go to do it, it wont work

Hey I need help when i sign it ask's for a parent control password and the email for that is obviously different from my windows live ID anyways I tried to type in the password but it wont accept.

I Need help changing,recovering or removing my parent control password, because i forgot it.

Not my Account, My protection password

Plus when I go on my console and sign in "offline" it would let me access Kinect,Account or Privacy on settings

So there is not a way I change it on my xbox I have to change it on Xbox.com But everytime i search for support i always get steps on how to fix related problems

I Need to actually "type in a new password,recover or remove my parent control passwork on xbox.com

If you could tell me what to do you will be a life saver!

I would like to change my parental control settings because I am unable to access 'Find New Tunes' on Forza Horizon 4. My restricted content is 'Unrestricted' but I cannot access all the features on Forza.

you wont be able to change the parental controls on your account. only the person who has the parent account can make those changes to the settings

This exact situation happened to me 4 days ago right after the last update. To be quite honest, I tried every simple troubleshooting technique also.

First might I suggest doing a hard reset on your console.

Next, update your controller.

(I actually changed controllers to fix my problem)

Also might I ask you, are parental controls enabled on your account?

There are a few communication settings in the parental controls you may want to check. I am 38 years old, and for some reason my parental controls seem to get reset every few weeks.

If none of this works, might I suggest trying a different controller. None of the above things worked for me, only changing the controller. I hope this helps.

I had the same problem. Parental controls is misleading. Go to privacy settings and change it to the default adult setting. This worked for me. Messing around with the parental controls as you've found, does nothing.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I want to remove parental controls from my xbox console after turning 18, and I'm not sure how to do do unless changing my Windows Live ID to one that belongs to my parents. However, I get the same status code error.
