I want to change my Gt to an original GT that is not taken but the system wont let me

since a few months, back Xbox changed Gamertag to less character but included # at end, this is the new system, so changing or creating Gamertags now will give you numbers on the end, only those who kept original Gamertags from before the change get the OG
tags without numbers.

Keep in mind when looking for gamertags, the system doesn't see things like spaces as making a gamertag unique. So you may search for "gamertag" and it doesn't show as available, but someone may have it as "gamer tag". Also the gamertag system is in use
on other Microsoft services as well, so even if it's not in use on an Xbox, it may be in use elsewhere.

@Zenosos - If you choose a tag that no one else has, you will not receive the suffix. It's not for every tag made after the change.

Nope, this is my original GT, that i had on day 1 on the 360. I wanted Richster for my tag but it was taken, wouldnt ever change it now

when I came onto xbox.xom I hit sign in, my GT was already being used, by me, but microsoft made me make a winID, which I thought were supposed to link together and gave me the random generated name

As far as changing my GT for free, ive tried to do that but when I use my GT it says its taken, cause i'm already using it, but it wont let me USE it... make sense?

Around three years ago or even before that maybe, I had a 360 with my original GT. When I got my current system, for the life of me I could not remember my email and password for the original GT. I was quite mad to be honest because I wanted to play on that
GT. I would be beyond ****** if someone else was gaming on my original GT LOL.
