I want to change my gamertag back to "" because when I first logged into a Microsoft game it automatically changed it to have numbers at the end. I know for a fact it did not have numbers at the end beforehand and I'm the only person who has used this username.

Im wanting my old gamertag back as my brother change it and it's a unauthorized change so I'm requesting my old gamertag back

But the gamertag that I want to change is my old gamertag. I change my old gamertag on 2 August 2020. I used that old gamertag when I create my Xbox account. At that time, the system allow me to use that gamertag. But when I want to change it back, the system don't allow me to use it. Why is this like that?

Sorry, but the only way to change your tag is by paying. Make your brother pay you for it.

Well this is a user based support forum meaning we are just gamers like you who dont work for microsoft so we cannot give you a free gamertag change. As stated before your account is ultimately your responsibility. So you would either need to pay the $10
to change your name back or make your brother pay the $10 to do it. But generally this wont be done for free since setting a passcode on your account would have prevented this from happening in the first place
