I want To buy the orange box for my xbox one

It isnt avaliable on the xbox one store or xbox.com however I have found it is available on the xbox 360 marketplace

If i was to buy it from there would I be able to download it onto my xbox one if I signed in or would I be wasting my money

Because everything says if it isnt on my console or xbox.com it isnt backwards compatible but I know a friend who owns it on his xbox one and would like to play with him

Yes. Since it's backwards compatible, it'll work on the One.

For some reason the Orange Box isnt purchaseable directly from the Xbox One. But you can buy it from the Store with your Browser.

Go to:

Make sure your are logged into the Website with the same Account you use on your Xbox One to prevent any further issues. After buying it there it should Show up in the "Ready to Install" tab on the "My Games & Apps" section.
