i want to buy age of empires collectors addition from Microsoft store

i put the game into my basket then go to pay for it and it asks me to create a character for xbox...i want to play the game on my pc not xbox . i dont want game pass or play the game in a cloud or stream it. i want the game for my pc. if its digital download how does that work ? do i have to log into my microsoft account to play it whit i dont want...to many restrictions. can some one explain how i can get what i want please.

The game Age of Empires: Definitive Collection on Microsoft Store is for PC and Xbox since the edition includes Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition but you'll need an Xbox profile since you will be purchasing it through Microsoft Store and will be playing it through Xbox Live services.

You will not need cloud gaming or streaming. Once you purchase it through Microsoft Store you can install and play the game on your PC, you'll need to log in using your Microsoft Account.
