    I changed my email on my xbox account to a new one and the account is now made into a child account, even though the age on my account is above 18. I have all of the consent stuff figured out but I would just like to know if I could get my account turned into an adult account

    Is the account in question a child's or adult's account? If its a child account you may want to change it to an adult account and give it a shot.

    So, if I understand, you account is an child account and you want to unlink your parent's account from yours? Unfortunately, child account are not allowed to be managed without and adult account attached, you can ask yours parent's (adult account owner)
    to contact support and ask for a change of adult account, re-alocating the child account to another MSA adult

    Hi Onzif, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    There is no option to simply turn a child account into an adult account, especially if you're still a minor an adult guidance is required. Kindly check if there is an organizer linked to your account by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/family. If there is and you're now an adult, you should be able to leave the family group.

    If there is no organizer and the age on your account is above 18, may I ask if there are restrictions on your end?
