I have messed everything up now. Locked out my Microsoft live 6 digit pin. I’m now paying for two subscriptions to ultimate game pass. One for the Xbox and one attempted for the PC. The underlying problem is that I try to put this right on my iPad then try to take other steps on the Xbox and pc. All so my son can download games and play with his friends. But I’m subscribing in my name for my son to use on two devices (I’m bewildered by the mess).

However my son is 14 now and can pay the monthly subscription from his own bank account.

If I cancel both imy subscriptions and my son subscribes will this be the simple solution. One subscription across two devices in my sons name? We did have a panic when he thought his Minecraft worlds and skins had been wiped so he doesn’t want to lose anything

I understand that you want to cancel your Microsoft Ultimate subscription, but the word Cancel is very contradictory, so for that reason I can't understand well if you say cancel to pay or cancel if you no longer want the service. Solve that doubt for me so that I can offer you a more exact solution to what you want to do.

When I upgraded, it converted all my existing Gold time into Game Pass Ultimate time. For instance, I had purchased Gold through September of 2020. I signed up for the $1 month of Ultimate and it gave me Ultimate until October of 2020.

You will be signed up for an Ultimate subscription at that point, which you would need to cancel if you don’t want to pay the $15/£15 per month after the time runs out.

Now if you don’t have a credit card on your account, I’m not sure how it handles that. It probably will just end your service once the timeframe is up.

So I can keep his subscription and cancel mine? He wants to upgrade his to “ultimate” but I don’t want to pay more a month. I want to still be able to use my skins and whatnot . Does that make sense?
