I updated my Minecraft world from 1.18 to 1.19.2 and now my friend can't join via LAN anymore.

If your friend Minecraft version is not the same as yours (and the world) in this case 1.19.2, they're not going to be able to play with you.

Your friend has the same minecraft version? Please ask them to double check this looking for updates.

If that's the case, please tell me what error are they receiving exactly and which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this

Nat type is either strict or moderate, I tried fixing it and went through the web for solutions but none helped to fix it. The thing is I can play all the other multiplayer games with no problem but only minecraft is giving me problem and that too I can
join his world and play but he can't join my world. My Xbox live is logged in and it's working and that is how I can join his world. I don't understand what's the problem with this now. The same problem persists with minecraft pe that I just bought, I can
join my friends but they can't join my game. Note we are not connecting through lan but through multiplayer option, as per the new update which enable us to join our friend's world if they're friends with us in Xbox live. Please get back to me soon, I took

yeah she is already on 1.19.1 everyone is already updated.

My partner created a realm via PS4 and our friend who plays via the switch can connect fine no issue's its just the realm that I created via windows 10 that seems to be the issue.

Removed all resource packs etc - Same issues.

Re-installed minecraft on the switch - same issues.



Edit :

Activated an old realm world - Switch can join no issues.

Created new world realm - Switch joins no issues.

Re-activate the current world where original issue was - Issue still present.

Replaced old realm world with current world back up (june 7th update 1.19) - Issue present.

Replaced world realm with back up before june 7th update (1.18 then updated the realm to 1.19 before switch joins) - issue present.

Same here. The friends tab in Minecraft xbox changes the number underneath it as my LAN friends enter their world on their devices, so xbox is definitely recognising that they are there. I see that number change within seconds of them starting on their
device. But underneath that, it still says "your friends are not playing Minecraft right now" when they quite clearly are. My friends on other devices see each others joinable worlds, but I cant see those same worlds from my xbox. They can see my xbox worlds
and join, but i cannot see theirs. Help!

I am having the same problem, however, for me, it is my friend who is on the Xbox and I am on the Windows 10 version. He cant join the world that I created anymore. He can, however, join me if I create a new world and I can join any of his old
worlds. I Have a theory on what the problem is. We were playing the game fine one afternoon and we both had to get off for a bit to do other things. When I came back it said that my game was updated and some bugs were fixed. From then on my friend can't
join any previous worlds I created but he can join new ones. You will encounter a similar problem on the java edition of Minecraft if you try to connect to a server with a wrong client version. It appears as if the clients updated but the world it's self
did not which is why my friend can't join. That is my theory at least. I did what you said above and it and it still doesn't work.
