Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

That's odd, were you playing your games while connected to Xbox Live previously? If yes, they should be stored on your cloud saves. For cases like this what we initially need to do is to perform power cycle in that way once you launch the game your in-game data will just re-sync.

Kindly quit the game and follow the steps below before you re-launch the game.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

Make sure not to cancel when your games are syncing.

Mine did that to me but I just turned off the console by pressing the logo on the xbox and after it shut down unplugged the power brick for 5 seconds the plugged it In and turned it on. Fixed it right away, I wasn't even able to get into my tv settings to
fix it lucky I complete shut down was all it needed

I had this problem. I had to go under settings and turn off the fast boot( I think I used my smart glass). Then shut down the xbox and restart it. I think because the fast boot does not fully shut the system off, it was not recognizing my controller. Once
I fully shut it off (unplug if you need) and did a full power on, it recognized it.

Yes I did this the other day and it still shuts down after I quit the game, I have checked all my settings and nothing is set for the series x to shut down when I quit a game.
