Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that the Xbox Live account , the console and code all match region wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Twitter
@XboxSupport, Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
http://support.xbox.com/contact-us they can do a more indepth look into this issue.

Had same problem, same error and everything. But when I checked my subscription tab on Xbox.com, my 3M Gold Prepaid membership was there. Check yours, might be the same deal.

could you check if the Cards have been redeemed succesfully although there was an error?

in my case i tried to enter 3m Gold on 360, error, but playtime was activated

I just got, 3 months Gold membership prepaid card. Now I've been trying to redeem code from hours now but so far without success. I've tried them on console itself and PC.

On console I get error that the code is not valid and on website, it recognize the code like "Prepaid 3M Xbox LIVE Gold" but when I click on confirm it says "Something went wrong", try again later.

I tried change locale, but also without success. I am from Lithuania.

Maybe can help?
