    once you connect an account to an epic account it can be removed but only that same account can be reconnected, they changed this the other year due to abuse of the system.

    once linked you cannot link to another account, you could try asking epic support to see if they can assist but most of the time its a no go.

    Microsoft cannot do anything about this either as it is linked on epics servers only.

    Then you need to contact Epic, as only they have control over their account system

    Why has my account name changed ?

    well I remembered my password but it is still linked to my old email address... but the new email address is linked to the BeastlierBeef5 account ? My new email account was put in via my xbox so maybe that's where the problem lies. I now seem to have
    2 accounts. This one with the wrong email address... and the one above with my current email address but no links to my games or achievements....

    Windows Live ID/Xbox Live Login

    i have tried again today to create a new Live ID and i now get a message saying "the email address is already in use".

    i tried to login as the email address and my normal password and then it says the ID does not exist, thinking i may have the wrong password i tried to reset it and got the message again that the ID does not exist.

    My patience is starting to run out on this matter as it has been going on now for weeks with no resolution in sight

    All i want to do is to be able to create a new Windows Live ID with my own email address (correct 1) and link my Xbox Gamer Tag to it instead of it being linked to the Windows Live ID that has the INCORRECT email address associated to it.

    I can't locate the epic games account my xbox gave me, I just want to link my xbox to a different account, but it keeps saying that my xbox account already has a epic games account for it.

    This means that the email address that is currently on your xbox account is linked to a different epic games account than what you are wanting the best thing I can reccomend is to try and log into epicgames.com with the current email address on your current
    xbox profile and it should bring up an epic games account and see if there is a way to cancel that one or move it to your xbox this would have to be done through epic games not through MS
