I tried to change my classic gamertag and it went through and took 9.99 out of my account...

We need to validate first if the transaction is completed and successful. Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and from there check if you can see the Gamertag change transaction, kindly try changing your Gamertag again, but this time you shouldn’t be charged again.

I've attempted to change my gamertag via this page https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag, but when I checked to see if it changed by going to check the availability of my old gamertag, my old gamertag was still under current, despite the $9.99 going through. I'd like to know if there was an error or issue with my request, because usually the first thing to instantly change the gamertag on the profile page and the gamertag availability. Just want clarity is all, got me kinda panicking taking my money but not really telling me where it went to.

I'd like to leave a refund as a last resort as this is the first time an issue like this has arose, for me at least.

ps. The gamertag is supposed to be changed from Senhko > Meowlodii

I've checked the availability of Meowlodii, and it was indeed available without any suffixes.

Never mind, sorry for the confusion I may have caused. I've figured out why my gamertag didn't change, I had to manually change it after the payment went through. I was under the assumption that since it asked for the $9.99 and took it, that it had also processed the gamertag change automatically as well. Again, apologies for any confusion i may have caused, and hopefully someone else find this useful if they make the same assumption and want some clarification lol.

I'm trying to change my classic gamertag which is the one you see in games. My classic gamertag got changed and my Xbox One and Xbox App gamertag stayed the same (the Xbox One gamertag is the ones they added with the new gamertag system).

My Xbox One gamertag is different to my in-game gamertag and I want my classic gamertag to be changed. You can only change your classic gamertag on the Xbox One console, I have tried using the other ways and you can only change your Xbox Gamertag, not your
classic gamertag.

The reason I want to change my classic gamertag is that the classic gamertag can be fifteen characters and the Xbox One gamertag can only be 12 characters. If I use the other ways to change my gamertag it limits me to 12 characters and sets both my gamertags
to that.

So you said I can change my classic gamertag. How do I change that after already changing my gamertag or do I have to change my entire gamertag again to change the classic one?

Ive gone through social.xbox and changed my gamertag already but it wasnt changed when i went on my game.

Not my account name but username and it didnt change
