I think I'm done.

This is marked for Gaming/Other, but it's really about Microsoft, as a whole.

Microsoft, at this point, seems entirely incapable of providing a consistent, user-friendly experience. Every decision seems centered around short-term (and short-sighted) profit boosts, which alienate the users (as well as long-term profits).

Constant, unwelcome, changes to UI across their products: Xbox homepage is, literally, just part of the Store, now. Windows 11 is just hideous and unpleasant to use (not that that's new, but in comparison to earlier versions...) Bing's webpage is, like, 50% search box...

Getting rid of Xbox Gold to force everyone on to GamePass.

Now, there's the gutting of the Rewards system. Knocking down the number of points you can earn, each day, by 20. As well as dropping the value of everything you do, to earn them. And not by an subtle amount, either. By a factor of 10. Which is just ridiculous.

I'm done with Edge and Bing, already. Figured I'd give OperaGX a shot, since the features seem nice. And this may well be the last generation of Xbox I buy. If I'm gonna be forced into a monthly subscription, anyway, I may as well get the better exclusives and better backward-compatible games that come with PlayStation. (Not like Halo's worth it, anymore...)
