  1. I solved STRICT NAT with 4 XB1's on one Comcast gateway! Yaaaaaaassssssss!!!!!!~

NOTE: THIS METHOD WAS USED ON A COMCAST GATEWAY (SMCD3GNV) and I have 4 Xbox Ones on one gateway. I have no idea if this will work on any other configuration like router and modem but you can
    try it.

I was so fed up with the strict NAT on ALL XB1 and not being able to play with someone in the same house, I started looking in forums and all over the web for a solution. Come to find
out, there are not a lot of router/gateways that Microsoft says can't support multiple XB1. I was going to buy a separate router and modem but that was extra money I didn't want to spend. So I went in the gateway to look at the settings again. You may have
software or use the 10.0.0.1 in your browser to get to the configuration screen. My UPnP was enabled and I had Port Forwarding turned on and set up to open 80 thru 3074. When we had COD I opened 3075 and 4500.

So I thought well the Port Forwarding is only geared toward only one IP address, why not have the ports
TRIGGERED and all the Xboxes that needed to use those ports can trigger it when it needed to. I went to
PORT TRIGGERING and put in the settings on the COMCAST
GATEWAY (SMCD3GNV) the following once you are in the gateway settings and you are under the ADVANCE TAB:

    1. ENABLE Port Triggering

    2. Click "ADD PORT TRIGGER" in the blue area

    3. In SERVICE NAME type
    XBOX

    4. Drop down the list for
    SERVICE TYPE, click
    UDP

    5. "Trigger port to" and
    "Trigger port from" type
    88 in both boxes

    6. "Target port to" and
    "Target port from" type
    500 in both boxes

    7. Click Save

    8. Repeat. But when you get to
SERVICE NAME, change that to Xbox1. The settings won't let the names be the same. Continue to step 4, then in the
    "Trigger port to" and
    "Trigger port from" those numbers
change to 3544 in both boxes.
    "Target port to" and
"Target port from" change to 4500 for both boxes.
    SAVE AGAIN.

    9. Repeat step 3 but change the name to XBox2 for the
    SERVICE NAME.

    10. Step 4, the DROP DOWN list CHANGES TO TCP/UDP.

    11. "Trigger ports to" and
    "Trigger ports from", type
    53 in both boxes.

    12. "Target ports to" and
    "Target ports from", type
    3074 then click SAVE.

    13. TURN Port Forwarding OFF. If your setting is not turned off, turn it off.

    14. Restart the gateway.

Once it reboots, turn on your Xbox and go to the settings and check your NAT type. It should be open. I turned on another Xbox and the NAT was open and so were the others. If you have a static IP address assigned to your Xbox like I
did, switch it to AUTOMATIC and see if the NAT stays open. It should still say open.

I have not had any problems with this and I have had no other issues with other laptops, tablets, phones, PCs with this set up either if you are concerned about conflicts.

This worked for me using the Comcast equipment and I don't have a way to see if it works on other equipment so at least you have the numbers to put in your router or modem port triggering settings.

If this worked for you, YOUR WELCOME.

    :)

2 Xbox1s on one home network, how do I get Nat settings to open on both?

    So far I have:

1 - Set static IP address on both XB1s (10.0.X.X)

    2 - Disabled Port Forwarding

    3 - Disabled Port Trigering

    4 - Disabled DMZ

    5 - Enabled UPnP

6 - Cycled power to Gateway and both XB1s

Result was NAT Type Moderate on one XB1 and Strict on other XB1

  3. Please tell me it's not just me who can't get my NAT to open after trying EVERYTHING.

My NAT type is set to open on the one. I know randomly while playing the 360 and certain games it will tell me my NAT is strict. I have no clue why it used to bounce from strict to open. I always thought it was the servers from a specific game. I have
no clue on how to troubleshoot my router (gateway) if my NAT was ever set to strict on XB1

its actually cheaper to buy your own modem and router instead of renting it from your isp for 10 bucks a month....glad what you did worked but I would be surprised if it stayed that way......

Can't Open My NAT. Tried Pretty Much Everything.

I know it's not possible to port forward for two consoles. I said that when I SWITCH to my 360 and change the ports it works and opens the NAT, but when I switch the ports back to the XB1's IP it's still strict (I'm curious as to why doing it on the 360
works but doesn't on the XB1)

I also know that the XB1 uses 7 ports to the 360s 4.

Windows 10 can't see xb1 at all even with manual IP. Same network and everything, whats up?

XB1 was set to strict NAT. I fixed it and it's now in OPEN. Now I can connect it to my pc for streaming. Looks like it being in strict NAT caused the issue.

    Thanks.
