I signed in on craftsmanm but I can't play multiplayer

You can change your account privacy settings to allow multiplayer games via this link.

You have to activate this option

You can join multiplayer games

Play games with others in the Xbox Live online community. This does not enable communication.

You will have to change the privacy settings to be able to play multiplayer; however, if you are a child account, you won't be granted access to the link since it requires an adult account to change them for you!

What game are you trying to play? Is it all games or particular ones? And when did you activate your Xbox Live? Sometimes it can take a bit for the system to register your Gold status.
