I removed the sticker on my controller and i want to know the serial number

your device number exists in two places, on the sticker, and on the invoice, if the controller was purchased along with the xbox, the repair opens with the console number.

the controller has a 90 day warranty with microsoft, unlike the console which has a year.

If you still have the box it came in, the Serial Number should be on there as well. But be aware that any controller that doesn't have the sticker inside the battery case anymore will not be repaired as the removal of that sticker voids warranty .

I bought it in a 3rd party seller in Amazon. Everything is normal except the box do not have any serial# with it and the sticker with serial number in the battery is missing..The box is in perfect shape and there is no trace that the serial sticker in the box has been removed.

The seal of the box is the same with the other xbox controller I bought. And its sealed when I opened it. The DLC code also works.

If none of the previously provided steps corrects the problem with your headset, it can be a hardware issue. Therefore your device needs to be replaced.

You’ll need to find your headset’s serial number to register your device and request a replacement. If you still have the device’s original packaging, the serial number can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the box. The serial number is also printed on a sticker located beneath the padding on the headset’s right earcup. To remove the padding and find the serial number:

1. Hold the right earcup by the volume dial and gently pull the earcup padding away from the headset.
   
2. The earcup padding will slip off, revealing the headset speaker underneath.
   
3. The headset serial number is printed on a sticker below the speaker.

The serial number is located on the sticker inside of the controller. If you can't read it, and you are completely sure that you've bought your controller longer than 90 days ago, then it cannot be fixed or replaced by Microsoft.
