I redeemed my Xbox live currency code but it’s not showing up on my account so I can buy a game

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties with using the currency on your account.

We recommend to request a call from support so they can assist you. This is being investigated currently.

When you go to Contact Us, follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----click on Contact us
  
• Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
  
• Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next
  
  Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

As there is nothing more the forums can do, I will be locking this thread.

If you are buying the content from the Xbox Marketplace as currency for a specific game then it will be sent directly to your in game account. Please be aware though that it can take up to 24 hours for the currency to arrive in your game.

No, I'm buying it from the Microsoft Store, because my dad's credit card is set up on my dad's account, so I don't want to get an Xbox gift card and redeem it, buy something, then accidentally buy something with his credit card. So if I buy it from the Microsoft

Did you buy out of region codes that doesn't match your account region?

If so that would be why

Currency codes are region locked they can be redeemed but the balance only shows at commerce.Microsoft.com

And can only be spent in a same region Account

Hi there, so was the code for MS currency or was it an Xbox Live Gold subscription? Please note that you cannot use currency added to your account to buy gold subscriptions.

Have you tried redeeming on the console itself? Steps here:

I believe you can also try at the following link, scroll to the bottom and select 'redeem gift card'
