I was wondering where this thread was. Alright so, IMO the games fun and enjoyable however until you get decent stuff it's a very miserable experience. Basically you have 3 starter frames, Volt, Mag, and Excalibur and out of those 3 go with Volt or Mag if
you think you're going to spend time playing this game. Excalibur is essentially useless later on while the other two are very useful characters.

Now here's the part that blows. Basically in order to get better weapons you have to farm the blueprints or buy them with credits and farm the materials. Doesn't sound that bad right? Well it takes 12-24 hours depending on the weapon to craft it. Warframe
parts take 12 hours each then building the warframe itself takes 72 hours. Weapons and Warframes essentially require a Orokin Catalyst / Reactor which doubles the mod slots available for that frame / weapon once you start branching out from the starter planets
and get some decent mods. These however can only be obtained from daily login rewards or if the alert goes up for a few hours (Usually on Fridays) or buying them with platinum which brings me to the next point...

Platinum is basically real money currency. Unless you get a 50-75% off login reward the prices are ridiculous for the amount of currency you get. If you were to buy some characters outright, it would cost you $20 worth of platinum for one character. This
currency however is able to be traded to other players for mods / parts and such if you wish.

Essentially everything in the game can be earned by waiting a very long time except for warframe slots and weapon slots which are pretty limited(There's also your typical cosmetic stuff you see in F2P games too). At the start you only get 2 warframe slots
and it costs 20 plat for 1 slot and I can't remember how many weapon slots you start with but it's 12 plat for 2 slots. To put in perspective, 75 platinum is $4.99 without a discount.

But that's pretty much all you need to know about this game. Honestly I really enjoy it mainly because I have most of the characters and the stuff I want but starting out fresh in this game is just horrible.
