Hello Whatthefork, if you have a new console and put the same account you had on the previous console your games will be there, because the licenses are safe in your Xbox account.

Do two things to confirm, the first is, click the link below and sign in with the account you use to play on Xbox, and then go to your Purchase History and see if your games appear.

Then go on Xbox, sign in with the same account, and then do a cache cleanup.

1. Go to xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds for it to turn off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

After caching if the games don't appear in the library, choose a title and look for it in the store search bar, when you find it, the install button should appear.

You have to have a paid subscription to Xbox Live Gold for it to work. That one month that is being given away is just an extension for Gold subscribers who bought Halo MCC. I didn't get it either, I preordered and played it using my brothers gold subscription
on my console. It it quite unfair that the only people who get the month of Gold, are the people who already have a subscription, while the people who don't have gold who bought the game, get nothing at all. My bro played it like once and he got it, and my
friend got the game 3 weeks ago and got it. I understand that its only a $10 value, but I don't appreciate preordering a game, basically guaranteeing 343 that I'd get the game, just to not get a month of gold, but someone who bought it only for the beta and
plans to return it next week, gets more time added to his recently-bought year subscription. I just feel like the people who need it, are the ones who DON'T have it.

Its most likely that you nabbed it while it was a free game with gold and just forgot.

Like i said before, i don't had a Gold subscription back in 2016. Don't even had an Xbox and NEVER subscribed until approximattely one year ago (first game i got on Gold was Bayonetta).

Besides, If i go through Xbox marketplace in a web browser with my profile signed, i can see the price and option to buy it, not the message that i already have it like other X360 games on my library.

It isn't a game shared too, cause the only secondary account in my console are newer than this and never bought anything digital.

My controllers both have 3.5 mm headphone jacks. One of them is the older type and came with the xbox and one of them is a newer version, which i bought recently. I will try updating the xbox and controllers

so did it display that you had a subscription to xbox gold but it wouldnt let you play online game? i just bought my past due subscription today and it says it expires on 1/31/2020 so... and i can get the xbox gold free games
