I recently got a code gifted to me by my dad and it dissent work for some reason

I have recently got a new xbox and i bought some xbox gift cards but for some reason it went to my microsoft account and i cant purchase anything Games off my xbox. Has this happened before? Is there a way to transfer the money to my xbox?

There isnt a way that wouldn't end up breaking the rules. Your dad will need to get a refund for the card from wherever he bought it and would need to get a code meant specifically for your region.

Yes Visa gift cards work. I got one for Christmas and used it since for some reason I can't use the $65 on my MS account. Anyway, to use it, get on your xbox console, go to Settings > Account > Manage Payment Options > Add Credit Card. Also note: your security
code is the (usually) 3 digit number on the back of the gift card next to the strip where it says to sign your name

I have had this isue recently myself with a code for Code Vain . what worked for me was to contact microsoft support they asked a few questions to confirm that i had purchased the product than they just gifted me the game. Not shure if it will work for
mtxs but it is worth a shot let me know if it works

I have the Deluxe Edition, it's on my dads Xbox that the game won't launch. I have the disc in my Xbox and already redeemed the Buddy Pass code so that I can play with him. It's on his Xbox that the trial version of the game
just will not launch for some reason. The Xbox thinks I'm trying to launch the full version of the game for some reason.
