    I receive the error code 0x80072EE2 whenever I try to install the xbox app on my Windows 11...


    Ive tried turning off my firewall and uninstalling my antivirus wear. Ive whitelisted http://update.microsoft.com and http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com with no success. Ive used the windows trouble shooter as well as the xbox app trouble shooter. Ive downloaded a repair tool, ran scripts on Cmd and restarted Bits Service. No luck unfortunately.

    Did you tried using a completely different Wi-Fi network?
    Or, if you try downloading a different app the same error appears or is this happening only with the Xbox app?

    Hi there Josef. I am doing very well besides this one problem.

    I tried installing the app from the link you provided and it gives me the same error message. Ive tried different wifi networks and reset my router with no luck. I also seem to have trouble with other Microsoft apps as well it seems.

    That’s odd… could be a corruption with the OS itself
    Let’s try to isolate the problem a bit more

    A. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
    Restart the PC and try again

    B. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

    Windows 11 - XBox App and Xbox Game Pass - Unable to install any game (error 0x00000001)

    I managed to install Windows 10 ARM version following this YouTube video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MLGL0f4gS4

    Then after Windows 10 install, I've only added the Xbox Game Pass app.

    First, Xbox app seems to be working even worse than on the Windows 11 ARM system (I had errors while trying to get connected which I did not have on Windows 11 OS).

    But after a successful connexion, I found out that the 0x00000001 error code Xbox App download issue is still there. So it seems linked to ARM OS versions (tried with Doom 64 game).

    I have re-upgraded to windows 11, but unfortunately the error code comes up again.

    When I press the install button for the XBOX app, the error comes up after a while.

    I also did a clean install of the XBOX app, but to no avail.
