I really want XBOX to be at the center of my TV/Audio control but its just not working ...

I have a Windows 7 media center PC set up with my Xbox One. While it works in terms of feeding the TV into the Xbox One video app, the "integration" doesn't really work well. Effectively, for me, the OneGuide is pretty useless since Media Center needs to
be on live TV for the channel changing capabilities to work. If it's on any other screen (start, recorded TV, guide, etc.) it won't change the channel properly.

I'm just treating the media center as its own "app" and when I'm watching live TV I pick up my Harmony remote. Then I use voice or xbox controller to switch to other apps, etc. within the Xbox One.

Thanks for the reply but this isnt with a headset or mic this is just audio coming through my tv. Everything audio wise works great on my tv its just the xbox thats having the issue.

I really hope Microsoft sees this thread and updates the Xbox One's audio settings so that your own voice comes through both the tv speakers and the headset. As a new Youtuber I am very disappointed that I cannot record my own voice on my videos without
splitting and splicing wires from my headset and controller so that my voice is transmitted through my tv speakers and recorded along with my game and party chat audio from friends. I am using an Elgato Game Capture Card and it only records audio that comes
through your tv speakers. Since the Xbox One only allows my voice to come through my headset and not my tv speakers I am unable to record my own voice. So this method of splitting wires and using the Kinect microphone causes a reduced quality and an increased
echo to my voice audio, making my videos have an overall horrible sound to them. By having my voice audio go through both my headset and tv speakers I would be able to record my voice with good quality. If Microsoft truly cares about it's consumers and making
the Xbox One an "all in one" media center with social media support then it really needs to make the change in allowing players to have their voice chat audio go through both the headset and tv speakers in its next update.

Hi, I have a headphone with a green cable (audio) and pink cable (microphone), and I have a 3-pin converter for both of them so they work together, but when I plug them in my Xbox One S controller, the audio is still coming from the TV and not in
the headphones, also when I go to the controller accessories, it says the headset is connected but says "Not assigned" under the controller tab please help me quickly!

Please give a fix quickly as I want to record/stream in my Xbox.

Stereo Headset isn’t working

If your Xbox One Stereo Headset isn’t functioning correctly, check the following:

• Have you
  updated your controller’s software to support the Stereo Headset Adapter?
• Make sure your controller has fresh batteries. When the batteries get weak, some controller functions, such as audio and rumble, are turned off to conserve the remaining power.
  
• Make sure your Headset Adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your Stereo Headset’s 3.5-mm cable is securely plugged into the Headset Adapter. You will know it’s plugged in properly if you press the mute button and the LED lights up.
  
• Try your Xbox One Stereo Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the
  Xbox Online Service Center .
  
• Try your Stereo Headset and Stereo Headset Adapter on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
  
  updating the first controller again. If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the

There’s too much game or chat audio

If you have both game and chat audio plugged into the adapter, use the Game balance or Chat balance button to get more of the desired audio type.

Can I have chat through my Kinect as well as my headset?

No. When a headset is detected, the console assumes you want that audio to be private and automatically turns off Kinect chat audio.

I also hear audio through my TV

The Stereo Headset Adapter doesn’t know if you’re using your headset just for chat or for all audio, so TV audio is not automatically muted when you’re using the adapter. You must manually adjust your TV audio volume.

Your Stereo Headset is broken

If your Xbox One Stereo Headset is broken, it should be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the
Xbox Online Service Center.
