i readeamed a code but it is not letting me play online

Sorry to hear you have run into some issues. I would advise that you
Physically Power Cycle your Xbox One quickly and then give it another try. Many times if you have just redeemed it on the console it won't apply the subscription so refreshing your account fixes this.

If the issue persists then go ahead and check your
Order History to make sure the code was redeemed properly.

Take a look and let us know if this has helped.

Please double check
http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there.

If the subscription shows, try the following steps

1. Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account since you will need them later)
2. Perform the manual power cycle steps as mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

3. Redownload your profile

If these steps fail, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at

Sometimes you need to sign out completely and back in for it to refresh and become active; not the norm though.

Sorry to hear that your Xbox Live isn't working. Make sure that you have internet first. Then, make sure that Fortnite has the latest update and is connected to the internet. To test if your Xbox Live is working, try to join a party with someone. A main
possibility is that your Fortnite isn't working. If none of the tests check out to be correct, restart your router and power cycle your Xbox.
