I purchased Y2K 24 for my son and paid $59 and some change but now he cannot access the...

Basically my 10 year old son wanted to change his ID and we agreed. He then went to change his name and it obviously came out with a different name (assume the name he choose was taken). He called my wife in who paid for it as it asked for card details.
My son and I realised the name change was not what he wanted, it could well be my son pressed the button by mistake (which happens). I then immediately contact your support (in normal circumstances EBAY/AMAZON etc if you make a purchase you can cancel within
a short time). I got no where with the customer service team and they said submit a refund form which we did. My son was in tears so we went back onto change name - and changed it to a name he wanted (he choose). I have therefore paid 2 lots of £7.99 for
changing his name.

I don't agree at all that a cost is involved in changing a name. The fact you can clearly see from the records that we paid 2 lots of £7.99 in such a period of time is not normal.

This is not complicated its straight forward.

Having the same issue, there has to be a restriction in the store for this.

I have turned off the purchase requests and the option to add a payment method shows the Microsoft account with the correct balance, but it cannot be selected.

My son now has money I transferred to him effectively blocked, he last purchased with no issue at the end of April. Something has changed???

My Microsoft account has:

Xbox Live Gold

EA Access on XBox

Both paid subscriptions.

My son has his Microsoft account:

Family share my Xbox live Gold

he has access to the EA Games I have downloaded but cannot get multiplayer access with his free EA Games account. Such as Mirrors Edge 2, he can play but cannot get extra options "shared".

I'm asking if that is a possibility to login into EA Games under my sons Xbox/Microsoft login to give him access without causing any conflict in licensing.

Just seems confusing in that nothing is clearly stated in the official offerings around this capability. So I'm trying to get clarity. Again thanks for the help and deciphering all of this.

My son had this problem when he changed his Xbox to the primary console. Since he paid for the game on his console, on his account, I received the game too. But once he changed those settings, I was able to play the game, and he was asked to purchase it
again. We put the settings back, and he got the game back. Perhaps you have a 2nd xbox in the house?

This reminds me of the hysteria that surrounded Y2K. For thousands of years there have been people claiming the world will end. Some things never change.
