You should be able to cancel the Ultimate subscription at Billing

Its best to let it expire after turning off auto renewal

If you had read the terms and conditions

One that was a ONE TIME 1to 1 upgrade so if you had a year of gold you would have a year of ultimate

Canceling will forfeit it and anytime remaining it would only return the amount you paid for the UGP BE IT 1 or 2 dollar for a month or two month depending on the promo

When the time expires then add the addituonal time.

So if you are trying to add more time to ultimate be it a month or a year you can but at the current conversion rate

If you only upgraded with a couple months and want to add a year doing so will onlh add 4months to your current account

It would be better to use another axcount then upgrade and no xbox support cant reset it as ita automatic

Just cancel it or let it expire and then use the code otherwise it gets converted to XGPU.

Ive also heard that sometimes you have to let the membership expire. But contacting xbox support would be your best option
