I purchased Xbox game pass because I thought it gave me gold as well as the game pass, when...

That's odd because when we purchase an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate the Xbox Live Gold subscription and Xbox Live Gold subscription should be converted as well. Do you have an option to pay for the normal game pass?

I have upgraded to a new p.c. and now when logging on to both my Microsoft store and my Xbox app my only options are to purchase the game or purchase a game pass... this confused me because when I go to my subscriptions it is telling me I have core game pass and not game pass... I had gold before and the game was always available to me to play. Why now that I have core it is not available without game pass. I'm so confused. I only purchased a gold subscription because it was the only way the Ark survival would let me play. Sad face

To request a refund on the game, please access Request an Xbox refund | Xbox Support and follow the instructions provided. Just make sure to type in the order number correctly, and then choose the reason the most suitable for your request.

The refund department takes up to 72 hours to respond and the money takes three to 5 business days to go back to the account. I wish you a lovely day, and I hope this helps you out!

You would have had to submit a refund request for the first purchase before purchasing Ultimate. Since you purchased Ultimate, it would have cancelled the original subscription and upgraded it to Ultimate as well (so you should have 2 months of Ultimate currently).

Hey Microsoft team, hope everyone is doing well. I made two transactions. The first one was X box live gold. The second one was upgrading to game pass. Was hoping if can get the first transaction refunded to me. I got confused, I thought they were separate perks. Game pass is a good deal once I read the info. Sorry for my inconvenience. If you are talking about upgrading to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, then your Gold purchase was converted to Game Pass Ultimate and added on to the total amount of time that your subscription is valid. You can't refund the Gold because it has been canceled and converted to GPU.
