I purchased the game Risk over 10 years ago I have a printout of all the games I purchased...

it happens rarely but can happen and i have owned software that has been crippled as the licence was cancelled (software licences are different to music and film, but they have similarities), as for this game, it was delisted simple, then another company got a licence to remake/re release it, this is an entirely new game (licence) which would need to be purchased again.

i own the licence to the orignial game on the 360 and it is still in my download list so the OP will need to contact support to rectify this.

They said they don't have it on their list anymore, and I am in this thread because I am having the same kind of issue with Age of Empires. You can see the game in my purchase history, I have it downloaded, but it won't play anymore. The game is showing "unavailable" now. So because they have severed ties with the originating company, a game I digitally supposedly "own" can no longer be played. So the transactions we make with this company should not legally be called purchases if those purchases are getting taken away when they choose to part ways, it should be a subscription, otherwise it's false advertising.

Before making digital purchases like this, you purchased a physical disc with a game on it, and that purchase never expired, you could play as long as you didn't scratch the disc. So now that we make a purchase digitally instead, the company is making an arbitrary decision to withdraw that purchase from you whenever they choose. What if I had just purchased that game a week before they decided to change their deal? Or if the dealership you bought your car from decided not to sell that model anymore, they can call you and tell you you have to return it now, no refund, no exchange, just not yours anymore? It's the same concept. We did not purchase a subscription that expires, we purchased a game, that should be honored weather we have a digital file or a game disc in our hand.

You aren't ripped off you are forgetting one factor

Pogo did the arcade version

Hasbro /ea did the remake

Different companies and it does NOT CARRY OVER

You cannot buy from pogo and expect ea to honor it

This is regardless of console

Pogo pulled out of ps3 also

This has also just happened to me with Age of Empires. I guess this is the first and last time I make a digital purchase. I didn't see anywhere in fine print that my purchase of a game was temporary. I'm not paying these prices for something you are going to take away from me whenever your profit margins start to disappoint you. Back to physical disc purchases for me I guess.
