Hello Bruce, may I know if you tried to use the Xbox app to install the game and not the Microsoft store?

Please follow the next steps in case you didn't cover this option:

Open the Xbox app, if you don't have it you can get it in the Microsoft store

Once opened, click on the “My Library” tab available in the upper left

You should be able to install the game from there.

PS: Make sure to sign in with the account that owns the game on both Xbox app and the Microsoft store

Please check if you're able to see the game (make sure it's the base game and not only the upgrade to deluxe edition or similar) in your Microsoft account order history:

If maybe you're not able to see the game listed there make sure to change the filter “ordered within” to “all available”, and if you have more than one email address check the order history on each one.

The Xbox app, while it contains game pass, is used for anything in the Xbox ecosystem, which includes flight simulator

Even though I have the email stating that my transaction is complete, MSFS is not showing in the MS Store app library.

I have tried to install by clicking on the View or Manage your Order button, then Order History. This takes me to Xbox.com which brings up the purchase, with the Install To button being green. The next window opened is the Install this content to an Xbox console or PC. I don’t need or want Xbox game pass.

I guess the problem is that the purchase is not showing up in the MS Store app. Yes, I have reset that app several times.
