I purchased DTS headphone X and never received it, and Microsoft refuses to refund me!! and...

A digital xbox giftcard was purchased on my account, it wasnt purchased by anyone in our household and was purchased using my paypal account (which i never use for microsoft purchases) and an email containing a code to redeem was received. Strangely enough i received a security alert shortly after saying that someone else might have accessed my account. Microsoft are refusing to refund me and I have having great difficultly trying to contact them to challenge this, finding their support absolutely rubbish. Any suggestions?

Yep, Microsoft managed to screw this up somehow. Dolby crackles and pops horribly for me through optical on my headphones and receiver and through HDMI on my receiver. Pretty sad. DTS works though so at least there is that. Hope to be able to use my headphones
sooner than later. Try to get it right Microsoft, I have countless other devices that run Dolby no problem so it can't be that hard.

I know the Dolby Atmos headphone app works directly on Dolby Atmos preprocessing. Sinilarly the GTS X app works preprocessing.

How hard is it to write the logic saying this:

If preprocessed audio is a Dolby format, just use Dolby Atmos headphone app.

If preprocessed audio is DTS format, just use DTS X headphone app.

If preprocessed audio is lpcm, then use Windows Sonic headphone app

I wanted to work exactly like my Turtle Beach DSS except is more flexible and can handle higher Dolby soundtracks and DTS and lpcm.

I assume the Turtle Beach DSS worked directly on Dolby 5.1 from the Toslink port.

I would do it myself except it doesn't do DTS at all any justice.

I'm relying on my headphone app to give me directions because I don't have a big enough or symmetrical enough room to house a communal system. Plus communal surround sound systems are very expensive at the most basic $200 for just the decoder plus $100 for each speaker plus the wire and stuff like that. Versus 35 bucks regular price for a Dolby app and a DTS app. And the windows Sonic app is given for free for lpcm stuff.

When I do Dolby or DTS headphone app it overrides the preprocessing and directly converts Dolby connunal into Dolby headphone and DTS connunal into DTS headphone.

All you do is move the conditional up if you're doing best match. You just select the best headphones format before you decode into lpcm.

It is now june and Microsoft provided only 2 refunds out of the 14 or so extra charges that was put onto my card. Microsoft knows it has a problem with double charging yet refuses to help its customers. Its terms of services are also quite impeccable with
not allowing refunds after 30 days of a purchase. Microsoft had me pay $16 a month extra for at least 5 months and refuses to refund even though I had no knowledge about these extra purchases going on. Microsoft deserves the worst. NEVER BUY REALMS MICROSOFT

Nope, never got it resolved! Logged tickets with both Microsoft and Activision, both were unable to resolve this and they refused to give me a refund!
