I posted my suggestion for providing Xbox One Backwards Compatibility for Cars Race-O-Rama on the Xbox Uservoice page but it got deleted. I do not know why is this happening. Not going to lie, I am not really pleased about that.

Can you provide Xbox One Backwards Compatibility for Cars Race-O-Rama? Because I saw that you all have provided Backwards Compatibility for Cars Mater National. Also, Cars Race-O-Rama is much more fun compared to Cars Mater National.

 

Yes because uservoice doesnt accept anymore bc requests, you can use this new uservoice only for improvements, features, things like that

 

I'm kind of glad they did away with those types of requests. They took over the site.

 

There currently isn't a place to request bc titles anymore.

At the moment, there isn't an official one. I wish that wasn't the case, but I'd also point out that a lot of data was collected over the time the old website was up, and I'm sure Xbox is still using that data when they consider fan demand for backward
compatible games.

If you want a certain game to be backward compatible, I think the best thing you can do is reach out to the publisher of the game and let them know your interest.

 

So how should I request the publisher of the game to provide Xbox One Backwards Compatibility for Cars Race-O-Rama? Because I saw that Xbox has provided Backwards Compatibility for Cars Mater National. Also, Cars Race-O-Rama is much more fun compared to
Cars Mater National.

Be aware however, the original Publisher was THQ, an American company who filed for bankruptcy in 2014. Most, but not all of THQ's back catalogue was purchased by Nordic games. Nordic renamed itself THQ Nordic in 2016.

I don't believe there are any licensing issues with this game - it's still available to buy digitally for the Xbox 360 platform.

Note that not only do publishers have to give Microsoft permission to make a game BC, the MS BC team actually has to do quite a bit of work to make 360 games playable. It's not a simple button press.

Yes. At this point contacting a publisher to get a title backwards compatible, remastered, or brought to a system altogether (assuming it isn't under contract) is the best way. It shows them that there's interest in game.

 

I thought contacting the developer of Cars Race-O-Rama to request for Xbox One Backwards Compatibility would be better as they are the makers of the game.

 

I got it. I will contact the publisher of Cars Race-O-Rama so they can provide Xbox One Backwards Compatibility for the game.
