    Xbox one media remote won't control TV

    Well, no matter what I try, the official Microsoft Media Remote just won't control my TV's volume. I thought maybe it was my off-brand Sanyo TV but tried it on my other LG TV and it behaved the same. The Kinect can control the TV's volume with voice commands,
    but not the media remote.

    Returning this and I will try a third party remote and hope for better functionality.

    I want to bring this back from the dead. I have a samsung hw-f450za, and an LG TV. Xbone elite is able to control my satellite receiver and tv no issues. Everything is connected via HDMI. I tend to use my xbox media remote to control tv, volume, etc.
    i have to hit the volume, mute buttons twice to change it. problem is of course, when turning the console on and off, tv turns off, sat box turns off, but soundbar doesnt. also, through kinect commands, i have to say commands for volume and mute twice in
    quick succession.

    any fixes for this?

    Yes. I did use another tv. The other tv is only a led hd tv. And it has no problem with any cable on it. My resolution is 720p on that tv. Can go to 1080p also but tv is to weak for it. And on that tv games and streaming have no issue. It's only on my LG tv. It does the same on my parents tv that is a Hisense. And on one of my other friends tvs that is a LG. I have used 3 different cables on my LG tv and it does the same. But on my smaller tv there's no prob with all 3 cables.

    Xbox wont display via HDMI/AV cable

    No changes or updates to my system sadly. Only change was from one tv to the other tv. This first started happening a week ago. I had it linked upto the LG tv, then the screen just went blank, and hasnt worked since on the LG tv. But as stated it works
    fine on the Samsung tv.

    Also it will not work via the AV/Scart cable on the LG, only via the composite cable. Luckily my tv supports all of the above methods for connection.
