I own MSFS2020 and I live in UK. Marketplace does not allow addresses outside USA. Why

Hello! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community, not a Microsoft employee. Hope you are doing well!

With regards to the region when buying games, have you tried checking the region of your account to confirm whether it is correct?

First, you can try checking it here https://account.microsoft.com/profile page. If the region is correct, visit https://account.xbox.com/en-gb/Settings/Home and click the 360 account region. From there you will find option to check and migrate your Xbox region but note! It will take 3 months before you can change your account region again if ever you change it today.

In case the region on both links are correct, try to add your UK address via https://account.microsoft.com/billing/addresses page next and also your UK payment before buying the game.

Hello, did it state that game was region locked? Like it can only be brought from USA to USA or UK to UK...not USA to UK it will be region locked. Does friend live in same region??

That marketplace link was for the UK marketplace.

Are you actually in the UK?

Are you using a UK Live account?

If yes for both then it sounds like the marketplace thinks you are not in the UK for some reason.

You could try restarting your modem/router to get a new public IP address as maybe the current IP address you are using is registered on Live servers as being a foreign one.

Why would changing your account region (Migration) affect the ability to play with UK Players?

I am from the UK, my region is the UK and I find plenty of USA players.

Does strike me as odd if I'm honest.

DooDooDan are you in the usa or uk? cos if you are in the uk it wont be available on the video marketplace as it is only available in america.
