I own an Xbox One X, can I play with friends who are on Xbox One? or Xbox One S?

If your friend has the Series X|S version of the game then I'm afraid they can not play other users who only have the Xbox One version of the game. In order to play together, your friend will need own the Xbox One version GTA V or GTA Online for the Xbox One.

You can play your Xbox One games that you have played on the S on the X.

Not only that but you can still play with all of your friends who are on Xbox One X or not.
