No such thing as an Xbox One Series X. The Xbox One family of consoles has an S and an X but are still just Xbox Ones. You need the Series family of consoles. The Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. These are different from Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

The "One" and "Series" are the console types.

I just bought a brand new Xbox One X, but when I go to the store, Flight Simulator and other Xbox Series X/S games say they are "not playable on this device" and I can't get Flight Simulator to install on my brand new Xbox One X because it says it's "not compatible". Very frustrating.

If you want to play Xbox Series X/S games I would take your brand new Xbox One X back to the store you bought it and see if they will take it back and you could try and buy an Xbox Series S (Series X consoles are very hard to find, but a Series S can be found fairly easilly)

Game can only be downloaded on a Series S and Series X, but not an Xbox One X. Xbox One X is not the same as a Series X.

To run 'every Xbox game ever made' would require a full software emulator, this likely doesn't exist and to make one is no small feat. Xbox One achieves BC by the BC team taking each individual game and reverse engineering and repackaging title by title. These games then had to be fully tested for performance and bugs which is very, very time consuming.

The Series X|S achieves BC with Xbox One games in a totally different way. The Series X|S consoles are very similar architecturally to the Xbox One, with massively more powerful processing and graphics hardware. This is why almost all Xbox One games run on the X|S.

I seriously doubt we'll see any more Xbox 360 and original titles. More than likely the event may focus more on FPS boost for Xbox One games running on Series hardware.
