I own 3 XB1's (and a 360) for my family - having problems with "Home Xbox"

Hello:

At my home, I have 3 XB1's (a 1x for me, and the other 2 are for my wife and son) - we all are avid gamers.

They are under my name as a family plan.

I usually purchase the games and install them. But now I'm getting problems where it wants me to make one of the consoles my home xbox.

All 3 of my xb's are home xb's - I'm wondering if there is a way around this, besides buying physical copies of games.

Any help would be appreciated.

Opening Xbox App signs me out of console I'm using and into home console

Our family has two XB1's and two TV's in our living room.

I usually play on my husband's "home" Xbox. I almost always use the app on my iPhone to read and reply to messages. This weekend, anytime I opened my app to read or reply to a message, it would immediately sign me out of my husband's Xbox and sign me in
on my home Xbox.

This is a new issue, as we have been using this setup for over a year with no problems. Any ideas? I can't find a setting to correct this.

Both of our XB1's are hard-wired, if that makes a difference.

 

help figuring out game share.

My brother & I share an xbox one. we've had it for years & it is my home xbox. let's call this xbox "XB1." i just ordered an Xbox one S. let's call it XBS. i would like to move my digital games from XB1 & place them in XBS with my brother still having access
to them on XB1. basically i'm asking the easiest way to game share without making the new one S my home xbox.

 

No. It's only possible to have 1 console set as your Home at a time. So you would be able to share on one of the other console and continue to use your games on your console as long as you're sign into Live, but you would need to either purchase the games
on physical disc, or purchase everything at least 1 more time under one of the other accounts.

 

If you're sharing one Xbox live gold account between 3 Xbox's and trying to play on it at the same time is when the issue might occur.

More than one disc or game purchase mostly likely is needed to avoid this issue.

 

I have 3 Xbox One S consoles in my house. The console I usually use is my eldest son’s “home” Xbox. The console my eldest son normally uses is set as my “home” Xbox. This allows us to play and share each other’s games. We can play the same digital game
at the same time. My third xbox is mostly just used for games on disk.

 

You can purchase each game digitally twice, just make sure you do this on 2 different accounts. you can also purchase each game once digitally, and again physically (a disc). to enable the three of you to play the same game at the same time.

My understanding is that if the three of you want to be able to play the same game at the same time, you will need a minimum of 2 copies of said game.

The Home Xbox feature is great, but as soon as there are more than 2 Xbox One's the Xbox home feature isn't so great any more.

 

There can only be 1 home xbox. Your profile can access anything it has rights to and any profile that uses your "home xbox" will have access to what you have. 3 consoles requires another purchase unfortunately. I wish there was a way to buy 1 disc,
install disc to consoles, and then just have to insert disc to run/start game (then you could remove disc to start on another).

 

Hey there, you can only have one home Xbox on your account. I would recommend discs for this reason.

 

In my opinion, I recommend against discs since they can get damaged or lost and you can only use it on one system at a time. When you buy a game digitally, you get a digital copy for your profile(account) and "in essence" you get a copy for your Home Xbox
setting.

 

I know your pain we have 5 xbox one console at home unfortunately you can only set one of those as your home xbox
