I never changed my gamertag before, bur when I will change appear I have to pay a fee....

I apologize, Daniel but the system automatically detects that you have used your Gamertag change before.

According to Xbox Support:

"If this is your first time changing your gamertag, you can change it one time for free. This is regardless of whether we created it for you automatically when you first signed up for Xbox (meaning you didn’t choose it yourself) or if you created your own gamertag at signup."

It says I have to pay the fee but I have never changed my gamertag before. I made the account years ago and now I find it embarrassing. Please help!

You only get the free name change if you didnt pick your gamertag when creating your account and were given a randomly generated one.

The gamertag you currently have is not a randomly generated one meaning you picked your gamertag at account creation. This counts as your free gamertag change. Any future gamertag changes will cost money.

You appear to have gotten a forced gamertag change. This happens when your tag breaks the rules. There is no free tag change when you receive a FNC. The random tag IS your free change. You will have to pay the fee to change it to something you want, or play
using the new tag.

You only get one free change if you use the name given to you when you created your account. The gamertag you stated does not appear to be an xbox generated gamertag so you would need to pay the fee to change that

I want to change my gamertag so I am no longer stuck with my old one, and supposedly its free the first time, and yet it still says I have to pay. is there any way I can change it without having to pay a stupid fee made for "security reasons" (face it Microsoft, its for money. add a cooldown.)

You only get the free name change if you didnt choose your gamertag yourself when creating your account and if you were given a randomly generated gamertag.

The gamertag you have right now isnt a randomly generated one and would be one that you would have chosen. That would have counted as your one free gamertag change.

Any further changes would have the gamertag change fee.
