I was creating an account and I added my son’s date of birth instead of mine. When I try to updated it the month and day options are blank

Please don't bump old threads. As already stated, there is no way to change the date of birth once an account has been created.

I'm , an XBOX ambassador. If your parents set up an account for you (that is about the only way I can think of having a teen/child account), you would have to have them upgrade you. If you set it up yourself, you might be able to go and adjust
what content is deemed appropriate. To do this, you would need to edit your profile on the console and tell it what content you want to be considered "appropriate".

Actually you can now but I think it depends on where you live.

You may be able to change the date of birth on your account:

You are an adult but your account is categorised as a child account

If you live within the US

In this case, the date of birth on your account is incorrectly indicating that you're younger than 18 (20 in South Korea and Japan). If you live in the United States, you can correct your date of birth online. Here's how:

1.In a browser, go to My Account.

2.If needed, sign in to the Microsoft account you want to change.

3. Select Your info, and then select Edit your personal info.

4. Enter your correct date of birth.

5. Follow the instructions to provide a US credit card as age verification.

If you live outside the US

If you live outside the United States and do not have a valid US credit card, or your account is subject to US COPPA restrictions (under 13 years old), follow the instructions at
