I need to transfer my son's game play to a new Microsoft account for his safety please help

unfortunately the Xbox account IS the Microsoft account and therefore the property of the father, nothing can be transferred as he is the owner of the account, there is absolutely nothing that can be done apart from start from scratch with a new account. what should have been done in the start is to create a child account which would have meant that your child had their very own account and you would then be the parental guardian to that account until the age of 18.

This is not the situation I want you to be in. I can only imagine how it feels to be in your shoes. Unfortunately, there’s no option to migrate or transfer account data & licenses from one account to another. Technically, it is still his father’s account and his father has full control of it and should be able to verify the ownership of his account anytime he wanted to. Microsoft cannot control or manage any of our accounts due to our account safety and security.

The best option we can do is to remove any payment method attached to that account and if possible only use gift cards or redemption codes to put stuff or subscription to his account so your son can continue playing his games.

Hi, around 2011 I purchased Minecraft Java for my son using my own email (this Microsoft account). So naturally when we migrated the Mojang account it got migrated to my personal Microsoft account. Now my son is an adult, and due to safety and privacy reasons we would like to transfer the Minecraft user to my sons own Microsoft account, and was wondering if that was possible?

Unfortunately nothing is transferable between accounts.

As Smwutches has stated, It is not possible to transfer game data from one account to another. In these cases it's always best to have a child account created for your son so that the games and all game data are saved to your sons account.
