If you are the organizer on the family group, just make sure to access your account and change the settings from the family account here:

For privacy and safety settings option so they can enable multiplayer, you can change them here:

Don't worry we will work on this together. There'll be no setting that can prevent or only affect 1 game. You'll be needing to change or update the content restriction in order for him to access or play Minecraft.

If you are 17 and have parental restrictions on your account the parental account will need to remove those restrictions in order to allow you to purchase the content.

After you turn 18 you'll be able to promote your account to adult to remove the purchasing restrictions and no longer require a parental account.

I had tried this, so all content restrictions are off, but when I go to remove child from family, I get this message:

You’ll need to remove consent first
Select Manage my child’s profile info, find your child, then select Remove consent for this child’s account. Then, try removing this member again.

This is where I am stuck.

Any idea why I get this?..
