I need to know how to go about special preview privileges for getting repairs done to my xbox ...

I was told by a rep that i may be able to get a free repair since I'm a preview member. Could anyone help me with this

Xbox One Issue/Network Issues

Oh your first post said you were thinking about sending it in for repairs nothing about telling me or genesis about it asking for you to send it in for repairs

Lets factory reset it go to settings - system - console info & updates - reset - reset and remove everything. Once you done that go through the initial setup again and see if you can fix it without getting repairs. let me know if the pop up asking for repairs
is gone and see if you are / aren't connected to a wired network. If the factory reset doesn't work then you will need repairs unless it is under warranty then it should be covered.

 

Mic not working

I am having the exact same problem, it happened last night randomly and happened to my friend around about the same time, i have been trying to get to the bottom of it all day and nothing seems to be getting resolved. one guy said it is because im a preview
member, another said to wait 24 hours and another said it was because of my internet, and another said my xbox one needs to go in for repairs. really hope this can get sorted, very annoying!

 

There are no special privileges when you need to get your console repaired if you are a preview member. If the console is out of warranty, you will need to pay.

 

Free repairs should only apply to warranty claims. Also I don't believe this is the place for this type of support, you should contact microsoft directly for any warranty or repair services. Goto support at the top of the page, select "contact us" and choose
to either call support or live chat to speak with a Microsoft customer support representative. Good luck.

 

I was directed here by the rep through direct contact...and she's the one that told my of this and how my fee could be waived since I was in the preview program. I spent close to an hour trying to get this very issue resolved and she's the one that suggested
it(the rep).

 

Try to create the repair on your end by going to

https://myservice.xbox.com/

Choose Problem with a device then choose your console and fill out the form.

Check there if there's a price for your repair order.

 

Unfortunately she gave you incorrect information. When you sign up for the review program it warns you that it may cause issues and that Microsoft is not responsible for any repairs that may be needed. So the preview program does not have any affect on warranty
or the ability to get a free repair.
