I need to change my birthdate

Hello

I purchased Minecraft, and multiplayer it's disabled. I know why, because my birthdate it's wrong. It is on 2009 because I put it wrong. And it don't let me to change my privacy settings on xbox. How can I fix it?

Please help me!

Once the account it's created you can change the birthday on the Microsoft account but it will not change the age on the Xbox account, that will remain as a child account until the years pass to become an adult account

Child's account cant view their privacy settings an adult is required to add him to a Microsoft family here

After the adult account creates the family and adds the minor's account to his family In order for you to be able to play multiplayer, you must change the privacy settings of your account. It can be done here

While you do can change your birthdate on
https://account.microsoft.com/ you would need to provide a Credit Card in your name which can confirm your birthdate.

However, this will NOT change the birthdate for your Xbox Account. So you won't be able to get out of parental settings or get a custom gamerpic, even if you are an adult and could change your birthdate on your Microsoft Account.

Mistress said it best. Only thing I can add, is if you want to go the cost effective route, watch around various sites(ebay, newegg, amazon) that put Gold subscriptions on sale. I usually pick up 2 or 3 cheap. By cheap I mean they usually get to $35.00
for a 12 month card. About once a month or so, reputable sites will discount them heavily. Sorry, but not much else you can do. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Okay I have a answer for you and I well let you know that all you have to do is go to my account on xbox.com. Then from there click on your gamertag and once you clicked on your gamertag you will have to go to privacy and settings. Then from there you will
now need to sign in with the parent account and after the parent account is signed in you will be able to change the setting on the chat.

As DPRK 420 indicated there is no way to change the date of birth associated with your gamertag. You can change it at
https://account.live.com but this will have no bearing on the content you can play on Xbox Live. Additionally, if you want this to be a feature you can create a new thread in the Xbox
