I need to change my AMEX card expiration date

The Xbox Gift Cards do expire but the expiration date varies by card so you would need to check the card to find out the exact expiration date. Hope this helps.

I am trying to change my expiration date on my credit card. I keep getting an error message. Is there a number to call?

There is no expiration date on the back of the card. The Xbox staff @E3 also did not mention an expiration date and made it sound as though there was no expiration date, or at least any expiration date soon. Honestly, I am extremely mad @Xbox and @Microsoft
for having expiration dates in the first place. Additionally, having expiration dates when there is no mention of an expiration date on the card? There should be an internal investigation on why no dates where noted on the cards and those with expired cards
from E3, with proper verification of an expired card from E3, should be given another code to use.

Unlike Visa or MasterCard gift cards, Amex gift cards are more restricted for online use, especially with international services like Microsoft/Xbox, even within the U.S., they’re often declined due to stricter fraud filters.

Here’s what you can try if you want to use that Amex gift card:

Go to the official Amex gift card website and register the card with a billing address (if it supports that feature).

Once the address is set, try adding it to your Microsoft account via the website rather than through the console:

If it still doesn’t work, a good alternative is to:

Use the Amex card to buy a Microsoft/Xbox digital gift card from a site like Amazon or Best Buy (just make sure they accept Amex).

Then redeem that digital code to your Xbox account.

I have called Amex and they verified there's no problemwith the card, 8 tries were made and Amex approved them on there end. They said the problem is on the Xbox end.
