Discus and support i need to change my alternative email but i dont have access to the current one in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; i need to change my alternative email but i don't have access to the current one bc i bought minecraft but i cant play on servers...     Right. So I had a chat to Xbox Support about it. Turns out that the email I wanted to change to is set as the alternative email for my current account. So I needed to remove the alternative email, wait 30 days (as this was a change to my account so I can't
    change emails) and then I can do it.

    This is just ludicrous. It shouldn't be that hard to change the email attached to a gamertag.

    Lol sorry, yes, my bogus one, the one I originally posted on, is using my current hotmail email.

    But my real one, the one I am posting on now, is still using the old email I signed up with.

    Since times have changed and I have switched emails, do I just need to do what you said above?

    Just use my main account, go into Accuotn Management and change it to the current hotmail email?

    Hi there Dubhghlas!

    The system is sending the code to your Alternate address for security reasons.

    If your alternative address is Inactive or not accessible then you must login to your Windows live and change the alternate email address by going to your account setting on hotmail.(Login in to your current email your logged in with your xbox)

    i have access to the email but when i log into xbox with it opens up a different gamertag account, one that i have never used before.



    basically i have 2 gamertags on one email and i want to change one to a different email address and password but i dont know how. the account i want to change the info for is still logged in on the console but i dont want to lose it when i am trying to change it
