Just to confirm, do you mean you wanted to know what is the email address of the parent account/organizer which is associated on your Microsoft family group? Before it should be available once you sign in via https://account.microsoft.com/family page but it seems to not be showing there now.

But you can try going here with your account https://outlook.live.com/ scroll down below where you will find "Group" option then click on "Family" once you clicked on it, click the "your family" then members to see what is the email address of the parent account managing your email.

Once you have the account you can then try recovering it or access it to manage your restriction such as removing it.

It says i need a parent account to change my child account to a parent account but i dont have a parent account and it wont let me add one.

child accounts are locked to parental windows live id requireing you or the child to enter the parental password

this can be done at www.passport.com and manage your child accounts and change your parental windows live id password



its easier if you have a family account and it can be change at the family center and only the master account cna change those settings

if your children want to go and download m rated demos no parental setting will allow them to do that

they must wait till they are 18

Ask your parents that have an adult Microsoft Account to add your child/teen account to their family in
https://account.microsoft.com/family

After that, your parent needs to go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and be signed in with their adult parent account.

On that page they should now also see your account. They have to click on that account and make the changes to your account's online and privacy settings then.

Sorry to hear about that, however, it's possible that you're under a child or teen account which is why you needed to be in a family group. Please know that at Microsoft, they are very thorough when it comes to a child/teen account to ensure that the community is fun and safe for everyone.

Child/Teen accounts are classified as:

-Young child: Anyone under the age of 8

-Child: Ages 8 through 12

-Teen: Ages 13 through 17 (or 19 in South Korea)

In this case, you need to ask either of your parents or guardian to create a family group for you by signing in at https://account.microsoft.com/ using their own account (or create a Microsoft account if they don't have any) and add you as a "Member" so your parent or guardian can configure your privacy settings when they sign in here: https://account.xbox.com/settings
