I need help with my Xbox voice chat

We understand that you are trying to join Xbox Voice chat however, you there is a noise that is audible by you and your friends that prevent you to use Xbox Voice chat feature. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.

Based on your description, you have tried to isolate the issue by using the Xbox app on PC and the noise still is audible. We would like to isolate the issue by asking for few details:

1. What is the make and model of both headsets?
   
2. May we ask if you use a third-party app for your sound or microphone output?
   
3. May we ask if you have tried to use the voice recorder built in app of your PC and record your voice if you can hear the noise in recording?
   
4. Can you confirm if this issue happens if connected to another device?
   
5. Lastly, may we ask if both headsets have installed or updated the driver as per instruction of the manufacturer?
   

Here are the troubleshooting you can try:

1. Check your network connection: Make sure that your Xbox is connected to a stable network connection. A weak or unstable connection can cause issues with voice chat.



2. Power cycle your Xbox console and see if issue persist.

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
   
2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
   Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
   
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
   
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.
   

3. Check your NAT type: Make sure that your NAT type is set to "Open" or "Moderate". A strict NAT type can cause issues with voice chat.

• For Windows 10:
  
  • PC Settings > Gaming > Xbox Network and check the NAT Type.
    
  • Look for NAT Type.
    
  • Please reply with a screenshot or picture of the Xbox Network.
    
• For Windows 11: Most games will report to you your Network Status or you can use network tools in Windows.
  
• For Console:
  
  • Kindly go to Xbox Console's Settings.
    
  • Select Network and Network Settings.
    
  • Look for NAT Type.
    
  • Please reply with a screenshot or picture of the Xbox Network.

I need help with ROBLOX Voice chat on console Xbox

Hello,

Are you simply trying to do party chat in general or through a specific app? You can join parties for Xbox on the Xbox app on PC.





Go to the Social tab in the Xbox app on your PC and choose the headphones icon in the upper left:





If your headset and microphone are set as your primary devices on your PC it should work through the app.

The clip function does not capture your voice or your party's voice. You need a capture card to do this. If you broadcast to Twitch you can save the voice from your Xbox party chat, it won't pick up the voices in-game.
